Green Day - 2022
It was lovely to see the enthusiasm from children of all ages yesterday as they supported the JLTs Green Day project.
We had around 20 families litter picking on our school grounds and the feedback from parents is that they would like another litter pick in the Summer Term. As one parent put it : it fosters “a sense of community and looking after our school.”
We have a champion litter picker in Casey (4PG). Her mum was telling us she spends some of her spare time litter picking in her local park which is wonderful! The local newspaper will be including an article about her in their next edition.
Our school council raised over £200 selling badges designed by Rebecca Willie (5O) and through donations which will be used to buy plants for the outside area and to support the JLTs Summer Project - making our school a Hedgehog Friendly Environment.
A big thank you to everyone envloved, includong the Office staff for making badges and to the Site stafffor providing resources
