PE and Sports Premium Funding

The primary PE and sport premium was introduced in March 2013 to improve the provision of physical education and school sport in primary schools across England. The funding is allocated directly to primary schools and is ring-fenced, this means it may only be spent on improving the provision of PE and sports in schools. 

At Rabbsfarm , we use the funding to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sports we offer.

Swimming

At Rabbsfarm, swimming lessons take place for all children when they are in Year 5. They are assessed using the criteria below:

  • swim competently, confidently and proficently over s distance of a t least 25m
  • use a range of strokes effectively (e.g. front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke)
  • perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations. 

This information is reported yearly as part of the Sports Premium Impact Report.
