Computing Intent

The digital era is upon us and technology will play a pivotal part in our children’s lives. At Rabbsfarm, our learners become responsible digital citizens who develop into computer scientists capable of computational thinking. Therefore, we model and educate our learners on how to use technology positively, responsibly, and safely. Our learners understand that there is always a choice with using technology and we can inspire others through our use.

Our learners become creators not consumers and our broad and balanced curriculum encompassing computer science, information technology and digital literacy reflects this, allowing children to thrive and inspire using relevant key skills taught from EYFS to Year 6.

We believe as computational thinkers Rabbsfarm learners will be able to inspire change through technology.

At Rabbsfarm, our learners become fluent with a range of tools, allowing them to express their understanding in different digital contexts. By Upper Key Stage 2, children will have the independence, ambition and confidence to choose the best tool to fulfil tasks and challenges they are presented with. We strive to ensure that all of our children leave Rabbsfarm with the skills and confidence to become active participants in the digital world and make a difference- preparing them for life beyond our school walls.
